I called back for an “update” as well as with the Hospital Facility. It took awhile, because “everyone had literally forgotten about him”. They had “determined” he was more than likely “deceased”, as he was known to be “extremely suicidal” but something inside of me was telling me “he’s still out there”.

I went into her Office, and I admit, I was NOT used to seeing a “Director’s” office that was nearly empty! She admitted she’s been moving stuff around, assigning it to people all over (the State), already took everything home, except these (family photos).

However, he does have a St. Jude’s heart, so he will require to take medication every day for the rest of his life. I did phone the VSP and the Woman to alert, and they already knew that, he was taking medication for his St. Jude’s.
HER: Transfers.
The new location was approved, and the original location was sold. So I took the 4 boxes at home, and everything was moved over to the new location, where now the “new” director was running the Ministry. I also alerted the VSP and The Case Worker, that I’ve retired, but I will still follow through in getting the stuff over to this location (a 2 hour drive to drop it off at the Train Depot).

VSP Girl: It really isn’t that important, the important part is we were able to locate and confirm everything.

For quite awhile things went silent, after the File Folder had disclosed:

While this poor guy was recovering, they had all kinds of Psychologists and Psychiatrists to “document” the guy’s mental state and to declare him “unfit” for society! Yes, they were sending Doctors who worked for the State to provide them the “statement” and “diagnostics” to declare him “incompetent”!
Then one day, he was admitted via Ambulance, he had a heart attack, and then required an immediate surgery to have a heart valve (St. Jude’s) due to his heart was grossly enlarged (cardiomegaly) and he would die if the procedure was not done.

She grins, and immediately stated “I can do that! Clever! But yes, that’ll give me something to do.” She then stated “I can print it all out if you wanted it.” I then responded, “might be a good idea, because the Vermont needs that background information.”
By the time I got to the 6th file folder (there’s about 150 to 160 file folders per a box). My blood was beginning to boil!

They were literally giving this honest, hard-working guy “HELL”! They would not leave him alone, they were always going out there and nit-picking him, day or night! Coming in unannounced!

Since we go out to homeless camps (as with many others), they had Undercover and Detectives to appear as “volunteers” hoping to develop rapport. Months turned years, and the Reward Poster was literally “aged and dated”. Many places removed it from the Bulletin Board. When my Staff was installing a new bigger bulletin board, asked me “What do we do about this one? Do we throw it away?” I had totally forgotten about that and instructed to put on my desk.

ME: That hospital has long been gone, it’s a Condo area there now. Since it was partially State of Florida controlled, you might be able to get something from the State itself, via Tally (Tallahassee), they might be able to find the micro’s (micro-film) or records in Storage.

HONEST FOLKS! Majority of us can cut and remove our own stitches! I have done just that! Yes, it will sting a bit, and trust me - I think my blood pressure just went to the moon. I cannot believe I am on the 2nd box and not even a quarter of those files there were completed!
I then dialed them up, deciding to use their mobile phone number and BOTH answered! I told them of my findings, and since they were at home, they had me to fax that old “Reward” notice to their own personal fax machine.
ME: That name rings a bell, could you stand by while I tried to recollect where I’ve heard that name before?
ME: How so?
He was walking and his shoe sole was “undone”, per the “record”, the Officer assumed he was a “Transient”, and it’s also documented that he’s employed, has an apartment, and it was also notated that “suspect” claimed his shoe fell apart. He was reported to be “incoherent” and assumed to be “under the influence”. It was also documented that “he denied”. The officer detained him and had him transported to a Hospital. The hospital released him within the half hour with the ER Physician documenting that “Shoe soles do come undone. It was not illegal. The Patient was 100% cooperative. Patient was picked up by a neighbor.”
Then I requested for a full phone conference. And I would tell them why at the meeting.

The Counselor then said “That’s probably where he got it, from dumpster diving, or someone took it out of the garbage and passed it around maybe.”
Because I had to undergo surgery, I was basically “grounded” at home to recover. So I decided I’d go through those case files, and elected to start from the “bottom” up, I then just noticed that xxxxx had inserted “Sticky Notes”. She was already retired, gone, and on a 6 month cruise.
VSP: He was documented deceased.
The “so-called” Case workers who were “assigned” to “document” this guy, it was clear as daylight they were trying to make “mountains out of molehills!”
That was pretty much what the remainder of the 2nd box, 3rd box, and the 4th box!
But the truth be told, it wasn’t so much as the business card itself, it was that guy’s name!
I picked my son up, and we went home, and because the weather was churning up, I told him, let’s go to my office, he could play video games there with some of the clients there while I was going through the files to be archived or destroyed. Once I arrived in the office, all of the sudden the fax machine whirred, another “Alert” and then it dawned on me ‘BOOM!’ I yelled! THAT’S IT!!!!
ME: Not really! Maybe for y’all up there, but not down here. Let me check the train schedule and when it can be shipped out. If they still have it. I will alert you, alright?
A Company letter was sent by the Company’s Attorney: For them to discontinue harassing their employees including xxxx (guy’s name), the letter clearly states they are “prohibited” from entering, calling, or mailing the company. They were also instructed to leave (name of guy) alone, effective immediately! If they have problems, they may consult with xxxxx, Esquire.
ME: Yes, I can send that Official state letter notification to y’all right now, stand by.
ME: Stark contrast from what “they” say down here. I’ll tell ya what. I’ve got contacts, and we will try to pull anything up, even when it’s completely closed! And I agree with you 100%, however, I am trying to be positive, but medication sometimes slows the progressive decline! Let me get back with y’all when I get somewhere. And Ma’am? That Woman? May I have your name again please? Telephone and if you have it, case or report or docket number? It might take me awhile, but I will keep in touch! Promise!

ME: Oh great, but I am wondering how the heck did he get my business card. He’s never been here.
VSP: We did, but they state that “statue of limitations had expired, the case was too old.”
Since I had a fire pit in my backyard at that location where I lived, we burned the boxes and everything that was within!
The System was very slow in alerting the State Personnel, Director had assigned several personnel to “go and find” him! Apparently the local LEO (Law Enforcement Officers) were advised to BOLO. (Be on look out.)
HER: Oh yeah!
There’s almost an additional 3 years, they were still on the prowl, and they’re not getting any “updates” on that specific person. One Director even commented “that the neighbors could be correct, he’s out of the area and state. He advised that he recommended the case be closed.” However, the upper deck, declined the request for case closure!
You could hear me in the background:
ME: Apparently he was “free” and acquired several years, about 6 years of peace and quiet! Hold on, let me fax you the other letter where the guy requested the case closure and the other letter of denial.
WOMAN: Ahh, yes, he’s being treated, and is doing well on medication, I believe the Physician is requesting that he be put in another line of work so he could be monitored or at least, someone’s with him at all times.
FAIR TO ALL → there was about a 6 year and some month gap. Hey, we can all root for this guy, he’s got some peace and quiet.
ME: Sigh, So what’s up?
ME: ___________ You know I am 2 miles away from your office, why can’t you just bring it over here?
ME: Put them on speaker phone - stand by. (steps out of office, finds 5 gallon of paint on the floor and carpet, and one guy (I knew he was on the ladder) is yelling at the guy who just answered the phone. He is literally COATED with paint and on the floor! Then he grabs him and tosses him into the floor and you could hear me yell ‘BOYS KNOCK IT OFF! SCOOP UP THE PAINT NOW! PLAYTIME’S OVER!’
HE ESCAPED!
ME: contacting several train depots. So I learned one can do it, next month on xx/xx/xxxx, because they have several containers that has to go upwards to xxxx Vermont. Total Price? $100.00 with $50 insurance!
VSP Girl: Do you have their number handy?
HER: Well, I’ve permanently self-destructed his case file, because I found myself reading through the documentations and had problems with it, you will find a lot of it very disturbing. So it seemed this guy was “picked on”. Y’all will see it when you review it. Remember, you are the only one that has that case file, as I said, I wiped it out, it’s been slotted for total “deletion” and will be off the record within the next 48 hours of less!
ME: I am just flat-out curious, are all of y’all aware that he escaped a well secured mental hospital facility?
Thankfully I kept the Ledgers, and I began to make notes.
I shut the door and told her upfront, the problem and issue. She then said “Not sure if I can do it because I, myself, would need clearance.” I then suggested, why not call the HQ (Headquarters) and just state you need clearance to locate a client to be assured that file was “quote and unquote” completely closed and shut.
ME: It wouldn’t matter, because all 5 of those Hospitals are defunct, the last one that he escaped from was closed down by the US Government due to falsification of reporting of patient mental status. Several Doctors license were revoked, and I believe one wound up in State Prison for fraud. Even if I said the names, it wouldn’t do any good.
VSP: No success with your state.
Until he arrived in the emergency room, for 4 stitches, a tetanus shot and released. Was advised to follow up with his Physician or return to ER for removal of sutures in 10 days. Report was “waitress was bumped by a patron which caused the glass to fall on table, breaking and cutting the patron on the table resulting a long cut. Restaurant’s insurance paid for all expense and coverage.” The address provided in their system was the old apartment in that city. It was also documented he was in the area visiting some friends.
VSP Guy: I am going to call the hospital right now, and Hey you? (referring to me) Is that Hospital still there? Can we call that number?
After several weeks, I was faxed that the “Reward” was amped up to $2,500 plus 3 Months of motel/food for free. Then a month later, it was amped up to $5,000 with 1 year of motel/food for free.
HER: *laughing* Oh, I wasn’t thinking about that, but I think I can go out with them, and how about if you meet me somewhere and we can move it over to your car?
ME: Sir? Run that name again please?
THEM: Yes, so it’s been reported. They got issues with that though.
And I loved the latter box, the last 78 file folders! I was actually ROOTING for this guy!
4 huge boxes (!) of that fellow! I had to put it in the “locked closet”. It was very concerning for me.
ME: Yeah, page them through and they aren’t nuts either, they really are the Vermont …
They actually whisked him away from the Hospital to a Mental Facility. The poor guy was battling and demanding to be released and they refused. They documented him as “Uncooperative” to “Believing that people were out to get him”!
ME: None, out of the 4 boxes, that’s it. Unless you want the latter 78 files where he escaped? Which contains 1 to 3 pages per file.
ME: Pardon my French, but that is BULL SHIT! Before I proceed may I ask how that fellow’s doing?
I startled everyone in the office, both the clients and personnel! I immediately ran into my office and into the closet. I remembered that “Reward” and while we had taken it down, I filed it in the VIP folder, but I had to tear through the entire closet to find it!
They had at least 22 to 23 case files on reports from “assigned personnel” who were literally lying in wait to jump on this guy! There were 2 assigned to hang around at the hospital from day 9 to day 15 to observe of his return to have the stitches removed. (He was a no-show.)
ME: (suddenly remembering) OH yeah! That’s totally correct, I recollect when I was following up on that fellar, the personnel told me the Administrators and Psychiatrists believed he was deceased. Are y’all telling me they had closed the case marking him as “deceased”.
ME: Uh Huh! Get her on the phone!
VSP Guy: To sum it up in a brief story. He took a bus, and was dropped off at the depot. He went to apply for employment and he was hired immediately. He was camping out, then had enough money for a motel, saved it up and rented a small suite apartment for cheap. Then brought a truck, then later brought a shack on the land. Fixed that house all up, he had been working for the company for years. Locals report he’s a very nice guy! Always there if you needed help. And like she says, he’s responding to the medication, he’s back at home, his mental state is still fine so far. We were hoping there would be a next of kin, as you know, stuff like this degenerates.
THAT SHOULD TELL YOU JUST HOW RUTHLESS THEY WERE!
Trust me, this was annoying and peeving the heck out of me! So I went to pick up my son from school, and arrived a bit too early and the Office wanted me to come in to give them a hand with the incoming T Shirts (School T-Shirts). People were noticing I wasn’t “up to par” and asked me repeatedly, “Are you okay?” “Oh, I am fine! Thanks!”..
END OF CONFERENCE: Agreed that I would send via Overnight mail the documentation - the Medical Records in one envelope which would be the first to arrive, and the Next Day Air, would be rolled in a tube. I would write the case file number in permanent ink and those that are stapled is the case file.
Then there’s the Central Director who made a comment “I personally do not believe this (name) is in the area.” At the same time when Several LEO had picked up some guys that matched “description of possible individual” but it turned out it was not him.
VSP: We got it. (long pause) Are you serious? Can I ask you something?
FOLKS → truth be told:
He was “considered” dangerous to himself and others. Above all, all Hospitals were on full alert, because he was on medication, it was “reported” that once the medication wore off, he would be dangerously psychotic!
VSP GUY: Yup! That’s him
ME: Stand by (me going through my Rolodex) giving them the Tally Number and its address. I wasn’t sure if that number was any good anymore, because it had been years since I’ve called. But I do have another number if that one fails is xxx-xxx-xxxx and ext xxxxx and if the first attempt fails, dial that number next.
Lawyer was out of bounds, he failed to realize that he has no authorization to tell us what to do or how to proceed. We are within our “jurisdiction”. Proceed as you are.
It was very hard to stop reading, because once you’ve started, you can’t stop!
VSP: Yes Ma’am, we have a fellow here who appears to be having some type of dementia, and found identification of his name xxx and your business card with the XXXXX Ministry? We were hoping you would be able to give us more information. Unfortunately, your staff wasn’t able to find him.
There are cameras on every single floor and every access (entry and exit) requires security clearance. If you were on the high end security, you were required to be searched upon every entry and exit.
ME: Sure!
VSP: Can you provide us or fax to us the State orders on this so-called “witch hunt” that you’re in reference to?
Because I had a “Homeless / Veterans Outreach Ministry”, like with many others, we were faxed “High Alert”, with several “images” of the person plus description. We were to alert the “homeless, transients, and wanderlust people” and informing them to dial to xxx at any payphone booth for free -or- go to any of our agencies / shelters and alert the the personnel - Code XXX. The person reporting and he’s captured would be awarded $1,000 cash, free one month’s motel with dinner provided. (This is a great lure to get anyone out on the streets talking.)
VSP: Yes, let me introduce you to xxxxx, she’s the case worker. (Woman - introduces herself).
Since they are “stacked in order” from the last event up top to the very first event on the bottom. This meant I had to remove everything out to start from the bottom up.
VSP: UPS is expensive!
I return back to the office and let out a heavy sigh.
Here’s the thing, the guy’s first, middle, and last; it was highly possible he reversed it, because the information they gave me was his Middle, First and Last!
Finally the Assistant Principal called me over, and she said “We know right now you are not fine! You seem to be in a perplexing state and WE NOTICE IT!” I just said “Yeah Yeah, I got a call from the State Police way up in Vermont about some guy, which his name rings a bell and anyway, he had my business card which had the incorrect logo and I am trying to figure out how or why he had it!.” The School Guidance Counselor was listening and then he said this “How many did you have? I said I returned all but 25 or 30 of them, there were only a couple of people who I gave it out to, once the right ones came in, I threw the bad ones away.”
VSP GIRL: Most certainly it’s him
HIS FINAL CONCLUSION: Alcoholism appears to deteriorate (guy’s name) mental state.
To give you an idea: 3rd Caseworker on a follow up on “client’s mental state”. Documented this:
The State swooped down to the prey, they now have him in their hands!
ME: That’s where I find very interesting, it does not disclose what medication or medication he was on, except he was on the prescription for the St. Jude’s valve, and then he was on low-dosage of aspirin for awhile and then back on the medication. I have my reason to believe, when he escaped, he took the low dosage of aspirin which you can buy easily over the counter.
I also saw the Logo, that pushed this thing way back to almost 15–16 years ago, because that logo image was an error on the production end, and a batch of 2500 were made, and I had to return it but I needed some on me, and kept about 25–30 of them. Once the new corrected ones were incoming, I threw those out. Only a couple of people had them but they were upper deck personnel, in line authorities. Normal “people” wouldn’t have this business card.

OKAY… Now I see why she told me it was disturbing! I found myself also attaching sticky notes and sticky flags here and there, and screw it - grabbed the yellow and pink and green highlighter and was highlighting the ABSURDNESS!
ME: _____________________ Well, tell them you have this fellar in your custody, and he’s very much alive and well.
ME: Awesome! Phone me back if you run into problems. I must warn you I am retiring, my estimate date of departure is xx/xx/xxxx unless of course something else pops up!
VSP: Oh *bleep*! That’s really *bleep* up!
VSP: Interrupts — it’s been faxed
HOWEVER → it was documented on a single page (1 page Case Folder) ‘SYSTEM HAS BEEN ACTIVATED.” Noted: Hospitalization, LEO, Update, DMV (Driver’s License), and the long list.
They didn’t need any of this except for the Medical Report of the cardio-surgery, I will mail only that because that’s the only important documentation they needed. Everything else was pure junk and garbage!
Calls VSP - Gives them the update. They also inform the woman the update. I then stated, I will have this securely wrapped and well protected from any dangers of water! I warned them → THEY WILL BE THE ONLY ONES HAVING THIS CASE FILES OR RATHER BOXES. Alerted them that the entire information had been slotted for “total deletion” and for a reason.
XXXXX is no longer employed by (Name of Business). It appeared that he did not renew the lease, there is no known forwarding address. When spoken to the neighbors, they disclosed, they were exceptionally firm that he moved out of the area, and out of State. Refuses to disclose where. All attempts to try to locate (name of guy) has failed. USPS forwarding processed has been returned as “Unable to forward, No Forwarding Address Available”.
I then dialed in several District Overseers, Directors, and Supervisors. However, I elected to go in person to a “soon to be retiring” Regional Director’s Office. At least, her job won’t be at risk if she got caught because she’s like me, retiring!
BOTH: What Mental Facility was he held in?
THIS is where the “Mental” condition surfaced. While this Psychiatrist’s license has long been revoked, as he was sued multiple times by different people for “falsely” classifying xxx as “dangerous”. That is exactly what he did: He gave the State what they wanted! He diagnosed him as “Schizophrenic” and required him to be under medications!
ME: Got it, thanks!
HER: *laughs* And then we go for lunch?
After 19 years with the Street / Homeless Ministry, this upcoming (20th) was my final year, I was retiring and the new director to take my place (that which I started from ground up) I was training him. Then we got a call from Vermont State Police (VSP). Apparently this guy had my “ministry business card” on him, and they tried to give my Secretary the guy’s name and she went to search him in the system, and he came up as invalid. Then I walked in and she told me who was on the line, and I told her to put them through my office.
VSP: I feel for you’uns! (both plus another individual is in the background on speaker phone)
[Yes, folks, I literally yelled inside of my home ‘ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME? THIS IS FLORIDA! YOU’RE GOING TO FIND COCKROACHES EVERYWHERE, WHETHER YOU CAMP OUTDOORS OR LIVE IN A BILLIONAIRE’S HOUSE, THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!]
ME: Thanks! Will do. And can you do me a favor? Can you fax the business card, because ours have changed over the decades, so the image on the business card could be very helpful in determining ….
I then said, “You know very well I cannot take those boxes out and walk off with them, without Security being flipped and tripped.”
The business card image was well worn, it had my name on it, which was rather puzzling, I do not give “people” my business card, only the personnel, everyone gets the Regular Ministry business card, and if you had a Case Worker or Counselor, you get their business card with the case number written on it. It has always been this way.
ME: Hi y’all, so what can I do for you?
VSP: Wanted it delivered via Train, so it would be there within 2–3 days intact, and insurance was cheap!
This was clearly an abuse, misuse, and everything but the kitchen sink!
I know of a “real life” person who managed to escape from a “Well-Secured” Mental Facility! No one knows “HOW” he did it!
NOW I could see why she had sticky notes all over. Even I was left “scratching my head”, heck, I even pulled out the 2 - 8 foot tables (I use them for Flea Market when I used to sell) and had all the documents laid out. The beginning made absolute NO SENSE!
Get this FOLKS: That information went to all “Directors in District, Regional, And Central, and Headquarters” where the highest authority personnel went on to add this comment:
ME: Hi ya xxxx (name), so your secretary says there’s 4 boxes? And mind telling me how I can obtain those without scrutiny?
Male Caseworker “Arrived at xxxx (the guy)’s apartment, and there were 3 men and 2 women. Alcohol was present. Did not appear to be any form of intoxication. When confronting (guy’s name), he seemed to be very annoyed of our presence. And one of the females there instructed us to go F**** Off! Per the Officer’s questioning as what they were doing? They were having a private birthday party for xxxx (name of person has been blacked out - I presumed was redacted).
I stood there, now that was a strong possibility, we did have a dumpster issue during that time, the bar that locks the dumpster was bent and we couldn’t lock it. There really wasn’t anything for anyone to steal out of the dumpster anyway.
PHONE CONFERENCE: I made it exceptionally clear, I would personally destroy the boxes and all file folders and to allow me to state why. Listen closely. For about 25 minutes, I explained all my findings, and he did NOT have any mental medical condition at all or whatsoever. Which aligns to what your findings are, these were basically Witch-Hunt on individual, making mountains out of non-existent molehills! I would personally build a fire pit pour Kerosene on it and literally burn it to non-existent!
VSP Guy: GOT IT!
MY OFFICE: Fax machine whirring.
No wonder why this guy was “rebelling” against them, it was clear as daylight, they were PICKING ON HIM! I mean, if I were in his shoes, I’d be rebelling against them too! And so would you, the reader as well!
I then got a call, it was her Secretary. She stated “Your stuff you need is in the box, there’s 4 big boxes.”
